The Online Safety Act 2025 poses questions for us. On the one hand, we don't want to find a situation where innocent surfing of different platforms becomes restricted because you must Age Verify just to access them. For many of our users of the service this a nonstarter. Issues such as appropriate ID, in some cases a guardian giving permission to do this if the person has a disability; Many of those we work with will shy away from using a platform to send sensitive ID documents, and rightly so. Park View Project think it is the right thing to do to project young children from harmful content, but is this act to protect young children from harmful content, but is this act the right way forward? Privacy issues are currently hotly debated, but that is a matter for future discussion.
