How we support digitally disenfranchised
Park View Project considers those digitally disenfranchised because of disability or age as a quality-of-life issue. This is the
group who stand to gain the most from being in control of digital technology; because it is they that have the greater dependence on Health and wellbeing services. In response, we aim to integrate offline and online activities, where we will support people to develop both a digital presence as well as exploring new connections in a real social space. The aim is to stimulate active participation by sharing concerns, break-down resistance to using the internet, creating offline community activities and, importantly, empowering those to peer support others to get online. Integral to achieving this are our volunteer opportunities. Volunteers provide peer support that reflects the local communities we serve
